Who We Are

Classic Cotton Co. was established in 2017 when a lover of all things vintage and all things music decided to get creative. Owner & Designer, Mark E. Chase is a retired college professor who primarily taught print design. After taking an early retirement from teaching, Mark decided to combine his interests of music, thrifting and sustainability by dusting off his sewing machine and designing one-of-a-kind wearable fan art. Mark's wife Amanda Chase also contributes behind the scenes at Classic Cotton Co. from design, marketing, communications, business strategy, high fives, and being the all around number one fan of Mark's creative works. 

In the summer of 2021, along with his wife Amanda and two dogs, Mark packed up and moved to Asheville, NC. He and his wife are looking forward to putting down roots in the western North Carolina mountains and renovating their new home. 

When Mark is not designing denim jackets, he can be found attending concerts, especially "Dead" shows as he is a life-long Grateful Dead fan. He also enjoys the company of friends & family, traveling, record collecting, playing backgammon, and a glass of single malt scotch in the evenings. 

Our Sustainable Fashion Philosophy 

At Classic Cotton Co. one of our main goals is to positively add to sustainability in the fashion industry by lowering our carbon footprint through greater environmental and social practices. Our creative process provides renewed life to quality denim through what is know as "upcycling". A Classic Cotton Co. jacket is created using pre-owned materials. Jackets and shirts are thoroughly "stripped' or laundered, and repaired to ensure the integrity of each garment. Some imperfections and wear can be expected on most of the finished items. 

Each Jacket is Unique

With the purchase of one of our bespoke designs you are not just adding an incredible new jacket to your wardrobe but contributing to keeping quality clothing from ending up in a landfill. And because all materials are previously owned, no two jackets will ever be the same. We do not screen print or copy images onto our denim. Everything we design come from purchased products and is designed by music fans, for music fans.
